Justin Trevino More Loud Music and Strong Wine
by Miss Lana |
| This is
a re-release of Loud Music and Strong Wine, a CD Justin did in
2000, only this version has six newly recorded songs in addition to the
ones on the original CD. Justin produced this album and recorded it
in his own studio. Yes, Justin Trevino is one talented artist/producer/all
around music genius in his own right. He put together some great
Texas talent to join him on this musical journey, like Dickie Overby, Scott Walls,
Jimmy Day, Rick Price on steel guitar, Ron Huckaby and Debra Hurd on
piano, Levi Mullen and Bobby Flores and Dave Kirby on lead guitar to name
a few. Amber Digby also helped out on harmony vocals. Of
course, Justin plays the bass & rhythm guitar. Justin’s beautiful tenor voice will take you far away from the world’s hustle and bustle, back to earlier times when traditional country music was “country music”…certainly not what the mainstream public considers “country music” today. But here in Texas, Justin Trevino hasn’t changed his style much over the 15+ years he's been making music. He has expanded his talents in a recently released gospel album called Before You Say Amen, one that you may read about later on this website. Listening to Justin tends to make me want to slow down and enjoy the moment all the more…to appreciate the roots that Justin keeps in his music year after year. And kudos to the musicians on this project, the music is just too good to express in words...I'm trying, but words just don't do this music justice. You have to hear it to appreciate it. It would get a little redundant if I tried to
comment on all 22 tracks on this album. Suffice it to say that every
song on this CD has merit and are done in Justin’s wonderful style.
What makes it even more special are the guest vocalists like Johnny Bush,
Jake Hooker, Leona Williams and Curtis Potter that join Justin on this CD.
