Zack Edwards Band

This music is alright and well suited to the younger crowd on the Top 40 aspect of the Texas music scene.  Alright it is and alright for top 40.  This music would fit well for a bit of a wilder night out drinkin' and dancin'. The first thing that came to mind as soon as the CD started was Cooder Graw, so perhaps it can have good company.

There is a lot of material here pertaining to young guys and their pursuit of women, no strings attached.  Track 1, "You Look Better On My Space", is a very contemporary setting to the old adage of being done with smoke and mirrors.  Before I get too far along I must say again, these boys sound great and, especially, with the addition of the pedal steel.

In opposition to many songs here being done from the young man's persuasion, track 3, "Git'er Done", gives us many years of marriage and there still being wood left for the fire.  Within track 4, "Cowboy Crew", I found a line that can metaphorically speak to other aspects of life outside of its context, "Stick your chest out son and show the bull who's boss".   Aforementioned, one could easily apply that to the bull one deals with in life sometimes.

A love song with more to it is Track 6, "Jokerz Wild", the playing of one's hand in life. Zach takes us back to his hometown for track 8, "Dry As A Bone", and it sounds like he's glad he's moved away.

Girls, here is where you can get your "Yee Haws" out on track 9, "Texas Women" for it is "one notch above the rest".  To end with a comparison track 10, "Cowboy Up" with compliment given here, this track could easily have been done by Cross Canadian Ragweed or even Skynyrd!

Again this is a younger kind of thing well done.  If these boy's were playing locally, and you and I were looking to have a good time, we might just have to git'er done!!!!
