About Daniel J. Hinnebusch
My
name is Daniel J Hinnebusch, born on 9/18/60 to wonderful parents and
a wonderful extended family. Backing up just a tad I was
conceived down around Waco but born in Sacramento, California!
My Poppa was a military man so we moved a lot, 12 times growing up and
9 times since as an adult. I have loved music as long as I can
remember, as far back as '64 doing the twist with my folks. My
folks played country and Dixieland jazz on the stereo. As a kid I
listened to late 60's pop and was a confirmed music junkie by '69.
I purchased my first record player in '70 along with Johnny Cash,
Tijuana Brass and the Monkees for records, it has been onward ever
since! Musically I played trumpet for 2 yrs, tried playing bass,
have fooled around in garage band settings and led the singing in the
church for a few years. I've been to a kazillion concerts
starting with ZZ Top in the summer of '74. As far as "the Texas
scene" goes, my exposure came on my drive down to the valley from MD.
I picked up a station out of Victoria playing Texas music and loved
it. Then three years ago, I moved to the DFW area and picked up
KHYI 95.3, 90.1 Texas music Sat. nights and enjoy The Cobbler
broadcasts on KBEC. I've been out to see some Texas music at
Sundance Square, The Texas Music Revolution, to the Granada Theater
and last but not least, the wonderful Texas Music Theater in
Waxahachie!
To coin a phrase, maybe I'll see ya around in my hometown! Sincerely here in Waxahachie, Daniel |
